A memorial monument for Jan Zwartendijk, honorary consul of the Netherlands and representative of Philips in Kaunas, who saved thousands of Jewish people from the Holocaust by issuing Visas for life in the summer of 1940.
Designed for the artist Giny Vos and suspended between the trees on Laisvės al., the 7.2m diameter spiral is comprised of thousands of colored vertical lines each representing a human life saved.
