We have recreated the iconic chaos instrument The Crackle Box. Originally designed at STEiM, but now available as a home assembly kit for the VAV students of The Gerrit Rietveld Academie. The Crackle Box is a touch sensitive and completely unpredictable pocket-sized synthesizer run of a 9V battery with a build in speaker so it can Crackle wherever you take it.
Build on the leagcy of first design by Michel Waisvisz from 1975, modified by Dr. Godfried Willem Raes, and redesigned by Yens & Yens in 2020. Moderator: Hans Muller
